Dunedin’s wild coastline is one of the city’s major draw cards. Guest speakers Dr Shaw Mead and Ed Atkin, two of New Zealand’s leading surf break scientists will share their experiences from around the country and insights on Dunedin’s local surf resources. Local coastal researchers from the University of Otago will be available to share their interesting work and Dunedin City Council’s coastal specialist will be on hand to talk about the St Clair – St Kilda Coastal Plan – a project that seeks to develop a forward-looking and sustainable vision for managing the St Clair – St Kilda coastline.
If you are interested in surfing, want to hear about local coastal research or are interested in contributing to the management of the St Clair – St Kilda coast then come along and get involved!
