A new generation of robots is currently being developed in labs around the world, based on new discoveries in animal ecology and neuroscience.  Our homes, farms and factories might soon be inhabited by families of small robots moving quietly among us. Hear from experts in this field and see what these robots might look like.

Bring the family for a fascinating night out meeting local and international scientists working on smarter, more efficient robots.

6pm: Refreshments on arrival

6:15pm: Presentations from Malcolm MacIver (USA) and Mike Paulin (NZ).

6:45: Q&A

7:00: Make your own bristlebot to take home!

Malcolm MacIver, Professor of Neuroscience and Robotics at Northwestern University, Chicago will be joined by Associate Professor Mike Paulin from the University of Otago to introduce you to your future housemates and workmates.
