Litter Free Ocean
Join the education team at the Royal Albatross Centre to tackle the issue of ocean litter. We will carry out a marine debris survey at Pilots Beach (adjacent to the Royal Albatross Centre), contribute to a national citizen science project, and take action for our local wildlife. In addition to collecting rubbish, we will investigate the impact of different types of litter on seabirds and marine mammals and engage in an art project to highlight the issue. The discussion will centre around the source of the rubbish, and how we can be part of the solution.
Team up this programme with a Local’s Half Price Albatross Tour or Blue Penguin Tour. And the Albatross Cafe is open for a meal.

This event will be partially run outdoors, no matter what the weather. Please wear a warm wind / waterproof jacket, sturdy footwear and a woolly hat. Garden gloves will be supplied (or bring your own) for sorting through the rubbish.
