2010 Festival

The 2010 New Zealand International Science Festival is themed “Everyday Science – Food for Thought” and is dedicated to promoting the value and importance of science and technology in our everyday lives to the wider audience.  Using a dynamic blend of academic, industry and community-based science events, the Festival is both a catalyst and facilitator to encourage participation in science, whilst also raising its media profile.  The range of unique events and internationally renowned presenters will showcase science as innovative, exciting, fun and accessible.  The majority of events are free.

The New Zealand International Science Festival takes place from Tuesday 6th – Sunday 11th July during the first week of the winter school holidays 2010.  Future festivals happen biennially in the same week.
