A field trip in Dunedin Botanic Gardens to identify common weeds and examine their impact on native ecosystems. There are numerous examples of horticultural plants becoming serious environmental weeds. Strategies that identify and mitigate the risk of cultivated plants jumping the fence and becoming weeds will be discussed together with methods for the proper disposal of garden waste.
