From the Lab to the Stage Workshops

Become a science communicator making your own science show along with the scientists of the University of Otago and the Communicators of the Otago Museum! Uncover fossils of extinct species with geologists, create a new molecule with geologists, create a new state of matter with physicists and study amazing animals with zoologists.

Sign up for one of the following masterclasses:
9-11am Physics
11am-1pm Chemistry
1-3pm – Zoology
3-5pm – Geology
(Please let staff know which masterclass you would like to go to when you phone and book.)

Later we will help you turn what you have seen in the Lab into an exciting show at the museum.
Meet at the info desk at Otago Museum. The lab visits will be followed by a science communication workshop on the morning of Tuesday 12 July 10am-12noon and the presentation of the show on Saturday 16 July 9am-12noon. Participants must be available for all sessions.


Aimed at kids aged 8-12 years, but suitable for older kids too.
