Think you have what it takes?
Forget NZ’s Got Talent, Science idol is back, and this time it’s bigger than ever! This year we’re looking for the best science rapper from around the country, and if you have what it takes, then we are going to bring you to Dunedin to get your science rap professionally recorded at the University of Otago’s new music studio.
To kick it off, our very own science rapper, Tom McFadden will be touring the country, taking his rap to schools.
For more info on how to enter and Tom's video intro, check out the science idol page, then sign up to our newsletter or join us on facebook and we will let you know where he is going and when.

#TYS Thank you science!
This festival, we want you to tell us your stories of how science has made a difference in your life. Big or small the results of science have an impact on us, whether it be the X-ray machine that helps spot that broken bone or the technology that keeps us safe in our cars.
For more info and entry - check out the TYS Competition page.
