Projects Co-Ordinator Calum McDonald
Calum is a born-and-bred Dunedinite, and attended Macandrew Bay Primary School and John McGlashan College. Although Calum studied science and physics at school, he wishes he had taken more science subjects as he has since realised that ‘everything is based around science’.
Calum was drawn to the role of festival projects co-ordinator as he is keen to learn what event management is all about and what goes on behind the scenes. For a young man of 19 he has a huge range of interests including skiing, driving, and ‘pulling things apart’; and by his own admission he ‘spends far too much time online’. Calum describes himself as a talker – conversation is an important part of how he chooses to solve problems and catch up with his mates, rather than texting.
Asked what the future holds for him, Calum says: ‘I could do anything – the world is my oyster’.
