Dan Hendra – Festival Director
Since 1997, the New Zealand International Science Festival (SciFest) has developed, managed and produced International Science Festivals in Dunedin (every other year since 1998).
Our aim is to celebrate, promote and raise awareness of science, technology and the environment. We encourage people and organisations (educational, research, business and community) to participate in the promotion of their work in science and its applications and contributions to society.
We also aim to highlight the excellence of achievements in these fields by Dunedin, Otago and New Zealand scientists.
SciFest involves many different people and groups - from international guests to local leaders in science and community groups, from all over NZ people of all ages participate in a week long celebration of science and how it is used in our everyday lives.
