Dan Hendra – Festival Director
Since 1997 the New Zealand International Science Festival has developed, managed and produced biennial International Science Festivals in Dunedin, overseeing over a thousand events across the city since it's inception.
The festival celebrates, promotes and raises awareness of science, technology and the environment. We work extensively with a number of organisations to promote their work in the sciences and the applications and contributions they make to society. We promote the excellence of achievements in these fields by both local and global scientists.
As part of this, we work closely with a diverse range of scientists, from international guests to local leaders and community groups. Many families and groups from around New Zealand come to participate in the 10-day long celebration of the sciences, and the importance it plays in our everyday lives.
