Home 2016 Festival Volunteer

Be part of making the festival happen!

Curious? Well, that just to happens to be what the festival is all about this year – encouraging people to be curious. Perhaps you fancy helping to run CSI investigator workshops where a mock crime has been committed and teams use fingerprints, skeletons and clues to collect evidence? Or maybe you’d like to go on a dinosaur hunt? What about assisting at a talk about sub-Antarctic expeditions or peering down microscopes looking at ant colonies? Volunteers with the science festival team can help for an hour, a day or the whole week, it’s flexible to suit you, and with a huge variety of events during the day and evening for all ages, there’s bound to be something that captures your curiosity.

Volunteer roles involve helping organise events, being on-hand during events and working with kids and families to make sure everyone enjoys a whole range of fantastic events. From assisting with ticketing to prison tours and talks, helping with catering and photographing events – there’s something for everyone! Get in touch and tell us what you’d like to help out with. You can volunteer for an hour or all day every day through the week – it’s entirely up to you!
